Arknights Endfield ’s gacha pity system works a bit differently than you might be used to, depending on which gacha games you’ve played previously. For one thing, the hard pity cap changes depending on how many Potential nodes (duplicated, in normal-speak) you’ve unlocked for a character, and Endfield has a shorter memory than HoYoverse’s games.

Below, we explain how Arknights Endfield’s gacha and pity systems work, including what currency you need for banners and how to get signature weapons.

What are the different gacha banners in Arknights Endfield?

Endfield has two banner types:

  • Basic Headhunt, the permanent standard banner
  • Chartered Banner, the limited-time spotlight character banner

Oroberyls are the currency you use to pull on any banner, though you may also receive “permits” exclusive to the standard or limited-time banner. For example, during the game’s first chapter, you get 10 Standard HH Permits to use on the standard banner (though we don’t recommend rerolling to get a 6-star character you like; just go with what you get).

It’s worth noting here that Endfield’s rarity grading is a little different than usual. 6-star is the highest, then 5-star is the equivalent of 4-stars in Genshin Impact , and 4-stars in Endfield are like Genshin’s 3-stars.

One pull costs 500 Oroberyl, which sounds like a lot. That’s because it is, though Arknights Endfield’s pity thresholds mitigate the cost a bit .

What about weapon banners?

Endfield’s Arsenal Exchange is where you go to get signature weapons and other less flashy armaments. You get Arsenal Tokens for every pull, or by purchasing bundles or completing the battle pass, and you can spend these in the exchange to get weapons. You can buy non-6-star weapons outright with tokens, but 6-star weapons require you to complete a “forging” process.

That requires you to spend 1,980 tokens to have the game “issue” 10 random weapons. They might include a 6-star weapon, though it may or may not be the one you want. There’s a higher chance that you’ll get a bunch of random 5-star or 4-star weapons. It’s useful, sure, though the cost starts stacking up quickly. It’s not a F2P-friendly setup.

Arknights Endfield pity systems explained

Here’s where things get a bit complicated. Arknights Endfield’s pity system changes depending on a few factors. Here’s how it all works:

  • You’re guaranteed a 5-star character every 10 pulls on the standard or limited banners
  • You’re guaranteed a 6-star character on the limited or standard banner after 80 pulls (plenty for making strong team combinations even without a limited character)
  • There’s a 50% chance the character you get is not the featured character. In that case, you’re guaranteed the featured character once you spend 40 more pulls on that banner (for a total of 120 pulls)
  • After 60 pulls on the limited banner, you get a free set of 10-pulls for that banner
  • Pity does not cross over between limited banners. If you’re at 119 pulls on a limited banner, and it changes over to a new banner, you start from 0
  • Limited characters from one banner will join the pool of possible 6-star characters in the next limited banner. For example, in Endfield’s launch version, Laevetain will be possible to obtain in Yvonne’s banner

The other major difference concerns duplicates, or Potentials, as Endfield calls them. After you obtain one 6-star limited character, you’re no longer guaranteed to get them again after 120 pulls on their banner. The cap increases to 240 pulls for duplicates. However, Potentials aren’t quite as powerful as Genshin Impact’s Constellations or Honkai Star Rail ’s Eidolons. They occasionally add extra effects to a character’s skill, but normally, they just increase damage multipliers by a small amount.

Finding the right set of blueprints in Arknights Endfield is the difference between spending hours manually configuring your base and just plunking down setups you know will work without tinkering. Which blueprints are best depends on where you’re at in the game. You can’t, for example, get a head start on advanced production with a battery blueprint if you haven’t actually unlocked the processes by which you make batteries. So your best bet is to upgrade your factory as you progress through the game, adding more efficient layouts or swapping one production set for another.

Below, we list some of the best blueprints in Arknights Endfield for the early- and mid-game, including battery farm blueprints.

The actual best blueprints for the early game, and for any time when you just want to see how a layout might work or start with the basics, are the blueprints you get by completing tutorial simulations. Once you unlock a new facility or process, you’ll see a prompt encouraging you to try it out in a simulation. These are often lengthy and tedious, but you’ll typically get a blueprint that lets you plunk down a basic setup that mimics what you just used. It takes the fuss out of planning and lets you focus just on producing materials you need.

However, as you start progressing, you’ll want to lessen the amount of space each process takes and have several other factors to consider while building. That’s when community blueprints come in handy.

You can opt for full-factory blueprints, but using process-specific blueprints is a lot easier and takes the troubleshooting out of trying to figure out what went wrong, if something were to go wrong. You also have more control over your layout this way.

While we cautioned against using full-factory blueprints earlier, this one from seas-are-cute is an excellent option for giving you every material you need without having to bother setting up individual processing stations yourself.

Don’t hesitate to experiment with other blueprints to find what works best for you. Just make sure you have enough power output to keep everything going. Fixing a juice-less factory is much more of a pain than it sounds, so keep up with that as you build.
