Best EA Sports FC 26 Precision Header Players

New for FC 26, the new Precision Header PlayStyle gives target players a better chance of scoring from crosses and corners.

One of EA Sports FC 26’s main missions is to make attacking headers more consistent and a legitimately useful mechanic. However, it’s a tricky balance to strike.

Too strong and you’ve introduced a new overpowered strategy that stands head and shoulders above the rest, literally. But if headers are too unwieldy, then you’re failing to represent a massive part of many top players’ skillsets.

This is where the new Precision Header PlayStyle comes in, granting FC 26’s best aerial players a unique advantage when getting on the end of corners and crosses.

Here are the best players you can find in Ultimate Team with both the silver Precision Header PlayStyle, as well as every player with Precision Header+.

What does Precision Header do in FC 26?

The Precision Header PlayStyle is supposed to represent a player who can accurately place an attacking header into the corners of the goal. It boosts the control and accuracy of attacking headers, giving you a better chance at scoring - similar to a ground shooting PlayStyle like Low Driven Shot .

In previous EA Sports football games, headers have been governed by a few opaque PlayStyles and Traits: namely, Power Header and Aerial, which applied to both offensive and defensive players.

New for FC 26, players who excel at offensive headers (Chicarito’s legendary backwards header, literally, springs to mind) will have the Precision Header PlayStyle, which boosts their ability to deliver “controlled, accurate headers” with a higher chance to score. This is opposed to the old Power Header PlayStyle, which just affected the strength of the header, which, in many players’ experience, would mostly just go straight into the keeper’s arms.

Defensive players have their own Aerial Fortress PlayStyle, which helps them to jostle, jump and win headers at the back. Strikers who’re great at defending corners (like Erling Haaland), or defenders who’re great at attacking set pieces (like Virgil van Dijk), will have both Precision Header and Aerial Fortress.

Will this be enough to bring the big target man back in EA Sports FC 26? It’s definitely something to consider at corners, but I think the best we can hope for is it not being wildly overpowered when the inevitable repositioned goalkeepers come around - pour one out for the infamous FIFA 23 Shapeshifters Petr Cech.
