Genshin Impact Venti build and teams - 1 Josh Broadwell avatar - 2

The best Genshin Impact Venti build remains much the same as it ever did, even with the addition of new Dendro reactions in Genshin Impact 3.0 and other support characters who do what Venti does. The bard needs plenty of elemental mastery to effectively support his team, regardless of who’s in it. He’s one of the most flexible supporters in Genshin as well, capable of slotting into freeze, vaporize, and even hyperbloom teams with ease.

Our Genshin Impact Venti build guide breaks down Venti’s best weapons and Artifacts and includes some Venti team recommendations as well.

Genshin Impact Venti build

  • What tier is Venti in Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact Venti weapons

Elegy for the End is Venti’s signature weapon, with a secondary stat that increases Elemental Recharge and a passive skill that increases Elemental Mastery. Dealing damage with an Elemental Skill or Burst earns the wielder Sigils. With four Sigils, the user’s Elemental Mastery increases by a further 100, while their attack increases by 20 percent. Attack isn’t that important for Venti, since he only stays on the field to trigger Swirl, but the elemental mastery boost is very useful.

That said, Elegy for the End isn’t essential. Venti has a couple of 4-star bows that suit Venti just as well, if not better. The Stringless is one of them. Its secondary stat increases the user’s elemental mastery, while the passive skill boosts elemental skill and burst power, which suits Venti’s playstyle perfectly. The bow frequently shows up in weapon banners, so you have a decent chance of getting at least one or two.

The Sacrificial Bow also has a lot to offer Venti. Energy recharge is its secondary stat, albeit at half the value of Elegy for the End, and the passive skill has a high chance of resetting the user’s skill cooldown timer. Venti’s burst is more important than his skill, but his skill is still useful and worth using whenever you can.

The Favonious Warbow is another useful option, as it gives the user an energy recharge boost with its secondary stat and has a high chance of generating additional energy particles.

There’s also the Ibis Piercer , which raises elemental mastery after the user’s charged attacks, and the 5-star Hunter’s Path - normally our pick for Tighnari , but also handy for Venti thanks to some hefty elemental mastery boosts.

Genshin Impact Venti Artifacts

The four-piece Viridescent Venerer set is the best choice for Venti. The two-piece effect increases Anemo damage by 15 percent, which is handy for regular mob encounters. The four-piece effect is the real star, though. It boosts Swirl damage by an impressive 60 percent and reduces enemy resistance to the non-Anemo element by 40%, making Venti indispensable for boss encounters and other tough battles.

Focus on elemental mastery and Anemo damage for your Artifact stats, though don’t ignore critical rate and critical damage stats either. Elemental mastery is more important and relatively easier to get, but Venti with a high crit rate does respectable damage as well.

Genshin Impact Venti F2P build

Venti’s F2P build takes advantage of a new Sumeru weapon you can forge and a fish-themed bow .

Best F2P weapon for Venti - King’s Squire

The King’s Squire bow has attack as its secondary stat and raises the user’s elemental mastery by up to 140, and while that boost seems small, it still complements Artifact strength quite well.

End of the Line , a free bow obtained by fishing, increases energy recharge and boosts the user’s attack after they unleash an elemental skill.

Genshin Impact Venti stats

Elemental mastery if Venti’s most important stat, though he needs some energy recharge and benefits a bit from attack and crit stats, too. Some players run Venti as a crit support unit to make the most of his time on the field, but he really does just work best as a Swirl supporter. Prioritize elemental mastery over the others, but if you do end up with attack, crit rate, or crit damage as his substats, it’s not a bad thing.

  • Flower: HP
  • Feather: Attack
  • Sands: Elemental mastery
  • Goblet: Elemental mastery
  • Circlet: Elemental mastery

Ideally, you want Venti’s elemental mastery to be higher than 400-500. Some players recommend 700 or higher, though that’s a massive nuisance to achieve even with mastery as the main stat for all his artifacts.

Genshin Impact Venti teams

Venti fits into pretty much any team as a support character. His Swirl capabilities will reduce the elemental resistance of whatever element type it combines with, and the grouping effect spreads those elements around easily. He works in any elemental team – freeze, vaporize, hyperbloom, whatever you need.

Here’s a few sample team combinations:

Venti vaporize team:

  • Venti
  • Mona, Furina , Kokomi , Ayato , Barbara , Xingque , Yelan , Neuvillette
  • Xiangling , Mavuika , Bennett, Hu Tao , Lyney
  • Free slot

If you include Emilie in the free slot, you can throw in some easy burning reactions as well.

Venti freeze team:

  • Venti
  • Mona, Furina, Kokomi, Ayato, Barbara, Xingqiu, Yelan, Neuvillette
  • Ganyu , Shenhe , Charlotte , Diona, Ayaka
  • Free slot

That free slot could be for another Hydro or Cryo character, if you’re having trouble spreading one of those elements around, or if you already have Venti and pull for Xilonen as well, she could come in as another support and reduce elemental resistances even further.

Venti electro-charge team:

  • Venti
  • Raiden Shogun, Fischl, Yae Miko, Ororon, Sethos
  • Mona, Furina, Kokomi, Ayato, Barbara, Xingque, Yelan, Neuvillette
  • Free slot

Venti hyperbloom team:

  • Venti
  • Raiden Shogun , Fischl, Yae Miko, Clorinde , Kuki Shinobu , Varesa
  • Nahida , Collei , Yaoyao , Alhaitham , Kinich
  • Free slot, probably for a second Electro if you have one

Dendro doesn’t Swirl, so make sure Venti’s abilities are spreading Electro for your Dendro character to act on.

What tier is Venti in Genshin Impact?

Venti is an odd one to categorize. Even several years after Genshin Impact’s launch, few characters exist who can group and Swirl large numbers of enemies the way he can, and while the suction from his vortex doesn’t move larger enemies, that’s true even for Kazuha’s crowd control skill. The thing is, one of the other characters who can do that is a 4-star Anemo who regularly appears in banners – Sucrose . Her skill and burst draw enemies in, and she gets two uses of her skill anyway. If you’re after elemental resistance reduction and are playing in Genshin 5.5, Xilonen has more potential as well and works more effectively with current Natlan parties.

TL;DR – Venti is good, but time has definitely caught up with the bard. If you have a well-built Sucrose already and are mainly interested in meta teams, it’s probably best to pass on Venti.

Genshin Impact Collei build: A young woman in brown garb stands near a river and studies an object - 7 Connor Makar avatar - 8

Genshin Impact has a new selection of craftable weapons added to the game, thanks to new side quests added with the 3.0 Sumeru update . However, you’ll not be able to wander over to the blacksmith and just craft them. Instead, each weapon blueprint requires you to complete a unique quest hidden around the new zone to obtain it.

To save you from scouring the world and wasting time, we’ve written this guide on how to craft all Sumeru weapons . This includes how to get the Forest Regalia , Sapwood Blade , King’s Squire , M oon Piercer , and Fruit of Fulfilment .

Check out the Tignari trailer for Genshin Impact here!

How to unlock Sumeru weapon blueprints

Each Sumeru weapon can only be crafted if you own its associated tale, which are rewards from completing certain side quests out in the world for an item called Stories of You and the Aranara. The tale you need for each weapon can be found below:

  • Forest Regalia ( Greatsword) : Tale of the Forest King
  • Sapwood Blade ( Sword ) : Tale of the Desert
  • King’s Squire ( Bow ) : Tale of the King’s Squire
  • Moon Piercer ( Polearm ) : Tale of the Moonlight
  • Fruit of Fulfilment ( Catalyst ) : Tale of the Portent

How to get Stories of You and the Aranara

There are five quests you must complete to collect all five copies of Stories of You and the Aranara. However, before you can complete any of them, you’ll need to complete the quest: The World of Aranara , which you’ll pick up naturally as you progress through the story in Sumeru.

One quest that grants a Stories of You and the Aranara is Varuna Gatha . This starts with an NPC down the South East road from the Yasna Monument, or south West of the nearby archon statue.

Vimana Agama is another quest you’ll want to pick up for a weapon tale. The NPC that kicks this off can be found North East of the archon statue near the Devantaka Mountain.

You’ll also want to head to the archon statue East of Gandharva Ville. Just north of it, the side quest Agnihotra Sutra can be found. You’re looking for a group of three NPCs standing alongside a dirt road.

Finally, two quests that grant Stories of You and the Aranara come from the same quest chain titled Aranyaka (specially, part 2 and part 4). To start this quest chain, you’ll need to head down the road south of Sumeru city until you reach a four-way crossroads. Here, you’ll find an NPC fighting off enemies. They kick off the first quest in the Aranyaka chain.

Where do I trade Stories of You and Aranara?

So you’ve gotten all five copies of Stories of You and Aranara! Now, you’ll want to enter the dream tree. You can access it just north of the archon statue near Vanarana.

Once you’re in the dream world, head East towards the black tree symbol on your map. There, you’ll find an NPC called Aravinay . With your Stories of You and Aranara, you can trade each of them for a different tale. With all five tales, you’ll be able to head to the blacksmith and make each of the new Sumeru weapons!

That concludes our guide on how to get all craftable Sumeru weapon blueprints in Genshin Impact. For more Genshin Impact guides, check out our pieces on how to get the End of the Line bow , as well as our best Collei build !
