You may have heard the expression about “seeing the wood for the trees”, but what about seeing the Woody Plants in your farm in Grow a Garden?
Often for events in Grow a Garden, you’re asked to track down “Woody Plants” to feed a growing sprout in the middle of your sever. Along with the other players near your farm, you need to contribute crops to a central pool, which, once complete, will allow you access to the special Event Shop until the tree decays and you all have to start again.
Event Shops are filled with unique rewards, including exclusive or hard-to-find seeds and other limited items.
To help you get your hands on those exciting treasures, here’s everything that counts as a Woody Plant in Grow a Garden.
Grow a Garden Woody Plants list
Woody Plants are just one of the different Plant Types event NPCs can ask for to help grow their giant tree, but they’re definitely one of the most confusing.
Unlike fruit or vegetables though, there’s no easy category for the crops on your farm to slot into.
However, you can’t just sit back and let everyone else do the work, because you’ll need to contribute at least 7 times to the growth on your server to be able to climb the tree and access your rewards. So, to help you reach the clouds, here’s everything that counts as a Woody Plant in Grow a Garden.

Thankfully the most basic plant, Apples, are pretty easy to come by, even for new players, since they appear in the Seed Shop. They also grow quickly enough that you’ll be able to contribute a few inventory loads of Apples before the beanstalk decays; or other eager beavers pile in all the points you need to make the tree grow.
So why would you contribute anything else then? Well, the rarer the plant you contribute, the more points towards the event you get. This is good for when you’re trying to complete an event on your own, which can happen, or just want to get to the top more quickly. It might also be the case that you’re such a high-level player that there’s no room on your plot for the lowly Apple, so you need to go for something more exciting just for the sake of space.
This makes Coconuts and Mangoes good options as well, because they’re numerous and (relatively) easy to get hold of.
