UPDATE: We have updated this page with some additional information about crossplay in Nightreign.
While you can play Elden Ring Nightreign solo if you so wish, it’s definitely best enjoyed as part of a three-person team. If you and a couple of friends have ever found yourself idly wishing that Fortnite trios had more hard-as-nails boss fights to contend with, then Nightreign could well be the game for you.
Nightreign trios are formed via online matchmaking, where you can meet up with players you already know or find teammates if none of your friends are around right now. Partying up isn’t exactly difficult, but it’s also not something you can do as soon as you boot up the game, either. Unfortunately, Elden Ring Nightreign does not support crossplay at the time of writing. It doesn’t look like crossplay will be coming to Nightreign anytime soon either, so if you want to play with your friends, make sure you purchase and install Nightreign on the same platform as them.
