LaDS’ slightly unusual gacha system explained, including availability lengths for every type of banner and how long you can expect to wait for reruns.

As a gacha game, Love and Deepspace keeps you logging in every day – and, they hope, spending some of your hard-earned cash now and then – by drip-feeding new content every few weeks via new and returning banners .

A banner is essentially a loot box: it contains a mixture of 3-, 4-, and 5-Star Memories for a given character (or group of characters), although your chances of getting a Memory decrease in inverse proportion to its rarity. Since what you really want are 5-Star Memories, of course, these are simultaneously the least likely to drop and the most scarce, thanks to many of them being exclusive to limited-time banners.

Even if you’re a seasoned gacha game enthusiast, LaDS’ banner system has some unique idiosyncrasies that can take some time to really wrap your head around. And, of course, you may well be keen to know when that all-important banner you missed the first time around is due to make its reappearance. How do banners work in Love and Deepspace?

As is standard for gacha games, Love and Deepspace features a permanent wish pool – called X-Space Echo – which is always available to wish on, regardless of what other banners are currently featured in the gacha. Occasionally, new Memories will be added to X-Space Echo – such as when a new character debuts or when a new 4-Star Memory is released – but as a general rule, non-debut 5-Star Memories will be exclusive to limited-time banners .

Limited-time banners are short-run events in the gacha which feature boosted drop chances for a particular set of Memories. LaDS’ gacha usually only features one limited-time banner at a time, although occasionally two banners will run concurrently, something that we can expect to see increase as the game gets older and more reruns are added alongside new content.

Unusually for a gacha game, which tend to have a few hours’ downtime at most, LaDS will sometimes see a gap of 1-3 days between one limited-time banner ending and another beginning. Also unusually, LaDS banners don’t have a set time limit, but instead have a ballpark availability window according to what type they are.

Limited-time banners in LaDS come in six types:

• Multi: A banner featuring Memories for every love interest currently in the game, with the player able to pick a focus on a chosen character. These banners typically run for around 20 days and are often associated with an in-game event. As of September 2025, reruns of multi-banners are finally becoming a thing, spending a typical reduced duration of around 8 days in the gacha upon their return.
• Myth : A banner featuring the limited-time Myth Memory Pair for the named character. Myth banners typically run for around 14 days (on first release) or 7 days (on rerun), and begin reruns around 11 months after their initial debut.
• Birthday : A banner coinciding with a character’s birthday week, typically lasting around 8 days . Reruns of previous years’ birthday banners take place on the same dates every year alongside a new birthday banner for the character.
• Debut: A banner featuring a brand-new love interest. Debut banners typically run for 18 days and add one exclusive Memory, but otherwise introduce a new character’s standard Memories which are then added to the X-Space Echo pool. So far, no debut banners have been rerun, although presumably the exclusive debut Memories will eventually be rerun as solo banners.
• Solo: A banner featuring Memories of one love interest but without any of the abovementioned special features, typically running for around 10 days . As of November 2025, reruns of solo banners are beginning at last, typically running for around 7 days upon return.
• Oracle: A 4-Star multi-banner found under the Events tab, Oracles are unusual in that they don’t feature any 5-Star Memories and play like roulette wheels rather than lootboxes. Featuring one exclusive 4-Star Memory for every love interest currently in the game during their debut run, Oracles seem to be designed to fill small gaps in the banner line-up. They usually run for 7 days , although during the end-of-year break in regular content updates they can sometimes run for 21 days .

Love and Deepspace current banner

The current time-limited banner in Love and Deepspace’s gacha is Fallen Cosmos , the first-ever rerun of Caleb ’s second myth that originally debuted in March/April of last year. Like all myth reruns, this banner has a shorter duration of one week, lasting from February 2nd - 9th, 2026 .

While myth reruns receive a fair amount of fanfare comparative to the more subdued return of solo or multi banners, Infold continue to decline to rerun the original events alongside them. If you have any outstanding tasks to do in Abyssal Chaos or any of the other permanent game modes, this is a good week to crack on with those, especially if you’re coming up short on Diamonds to spend on Caleb’s banner.

Love and Deepspace next banner

The next banner to debut in Love and Deepspace has been announced as Mortality’s Tenderness , a multi-banner scheduled to debut from February 10th to 27th, 2026 . If you’ve been thinking to yourself that it’s a bit odd that such a popular Chinese-made game hasn’t themed a major event around Chinese New Year in its two-year history, wonder no more: it’s here at last.

Mortality’s Tenderness comes unusually hot on the heels of the last multi-banner, which ended well under a month ago, and similarly it’s another myth-style AU to coincide with a real-world celebration — this time abandoning any sci-fi trappings, and instead featuring a lot of Wuxia-inspired fantasy imagery to mark the season.

None of the LaDS lads have birthdays over the winter, so Rafayel’s upcoming celebrations in March mark the end of a long quiet spell, and the beginning of 2026’s packed social calendar. |Image credit:Papergames / Infold Games

Looking further ahead, Caleb is due a third Myth at some point soon to bring him up to parity with the other LIs — probably a month or so after his initial Myth rerun in early February, judging from Sylus’ schedule last year. The timing’s looking a bit tight to fit that in before Rafayel ’s birthday event however, since that has a locked-in start date of March 1st; so expect to see that potentially towards the middle of next month instead.

Elsewhere, Xavier has now gone the longest without a solo banner (even including birthdays, myths, and reruns!), and Infold do seem to be attempting a measure of fairness in ensuring all of the boys get regular check-ins. So he seems like a likely shout for receiving some early-spring content, assuming there’s not another multi banner on the horizon.

Last year’s trend of rerunning older banners is also expected to continue, with a few solo and multi banners featuring the original trio likely next up in the running order.
