Image credit:VG247/Bethesda One of the world’s biggest modding platforms, Nexus Mods, has just smashed through the incredibly huge total of 10 billion total downloads across its entire catalogue of games. And yes, NSFW Skyrim mods definitely played a part in the achievement. Apparently this is something the team behind Nexus Mods has had its eye on for a while (the milestone that is, not the NSFW mods), and it’s a cool way to see just how popular modding has become, even if it’s been a thing for a decently long time....

Starfield rockets past 10 million players A wealth of space explorers. Bethesda has announced that Starfield has over 10 million players as of September 20. The game acquired this player count within two weeks of availability (three weeks counting early access), making Starfield the biggest launch in Bethesda’s history and one of the biggest launches of 2023 so far. This figure is just the latest milestone for Starfield. The game hit over 230,000 concurrent players in the first two hours of early access on Steam, and on release day, September 6, it became Xbox’s most-played next-gen game ever with 1 million concurrent players....

The ongoing writers’ strike has apparently put the sequel to the Super Mario Bros. Movie on hold, according to the voice of Mario himself Chris Pratt. You absolutely won’t be surprised to hear that a sequel to the Super Mario Bros. Movie from Universal, Nintendo, and Illumination is on the way, even if it technically hasn’t been officially announced as of yet....

It might surprise you to learn that one of the features that ended up being cut from Super Mario Bros. Wonder was live commentary, which, in a rather amusing twist, came with an optional Tsundere variant. This interesting little nugget was revealed in an official interview with several of the game’s developers (thanks, Nintendo Everything ), with Game Designer Koichi Hayashida saying that the team spent around six months seriously working on live commentary for the game....

Sure, Kraven the Hunter has plenty of brutal violence and high-octane action, but if you ask Aaron Taylor-Johnson, it’s a, uh, “family drama” too I’ll believe it when I see it. I am not particularly confident in Kraven the Hunter being a good movie. Literally every Spider-Man-less live-action Sony Spider-Verse film has been just abysmal bar the Venom trilogy (those ones fit into the “so bad but good” category), and I don’t see any reason why Kraven would be any different....

Sure, the Switch 2’s Joy-Cons might have leaked, but call me when we know what we’ll be able to play on the dang things A Joy-Con does not a good time make. It seems like images of some retail ready Joy-Cons for the all-but-confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 have appeared online, but honestly, I just want to know about the games. I do not care what the Switch 2 looks like. I’m not fussed about whether it’s bigger or not, I’m happy to hear that the rumours suggest the Joy-Cons should be drift free, but I am really not bothered by how they look in some alleged photos of them (you can check those out below)....
