After we got a fresh look at the Perfect Dark reboot for the first time in years during Not-E3’s Xbox showcase, the original drops on Switch today, though it is via a subscription service. The game, first released back in 2000, will hit Nintendo’s handheld with full online multiplayer, but you’ll have to be a part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription service in order to get ahold of it, or the four other classic titles it’s arriving alongside, all of which were revealed at June 2024’s Direct....

After SAG-AFTRA calls League of Legends strike, Riot states that it “has nothing to do” with allegations raised “We’ve never asked Formosa to cancel a game that we’ve registered.” Image credit:Riot Games After the SAG-AFTRA union called a strike against League of Legends , Riot Games has issued a statement that aims to dissociate the developer from the allegations being cited as the reason behind said strike. The call to members to initiate strike action by the union was issued yesterday, with SAG-AFTRA outlining why it’s opted to take this step in a press release on its website, which cites alleged “unfair labour practices” by Formosa Interactive, a production company specialising in sound that’s worked on League of Legends....

Apex Legend just hit a new all-time high player count thanks to Team Deathmatch The mode just recently dropped with the game’s 16th season. Apex Legends has just hit a new all-time-high for concurrent players, beating its previous record by 100,000 players. As spotted by Kotaku , Apex Legends seems to be doing very well for itself. That’s because, as recorded by SteamDB , the battle royale has reached a massive new peak of players all active in the game simultaneously, currently sitting at a peak of 624,473 players (it was 610,433 at the time of Kotaku’s report, so obviously it went even higher than first spotted)....

The next Nintendo Indie World is taking place tomorrow, 3pm BST/ 10am ET, as announced by the game developer earlier today, and is promising about 20 minutes of “announcements and updates on indie games headed to Nintendo Switch in 2024....
