Update: We’ve added chapter references to our Blue Medallions guide so you know exactly which part of the game you’re dealing with.

A recurring side quest throughout Resident Evil 4 Remake sees you hunting down hidden blue medallions concealed out of sight in a specific area of Valdelobos.

There are 32 blue medallions to find in total across Resident Evil 4 and while you can collect them as you play naturally, these are live locations within the main game, full of dangers and enemies, so your best bet is to clear a safe space for your search.

Destroying blue medallions is one of a few types of blue notice requests in Resident Evil 4 that appears more than once. Another is Pest Control , which sees you exterminating rats, while Strong Threats like the Savage Mutt are much more difficult opponents.

If you buy a treasure map from the merchant you can actually see the blue medallions on your map with a bit of walking around. However, as Resident Evil 4 goes on your task becomes a lot more complicated than just finding a medallion’s location on the map.

They can be high up in the distance, obscured by obstacles, or on a different level to what you might expect. Here’s where to find every blue medallion in Resident Evil 4 , so you can get back to saving the day and claim the rewards without scratching around in the dirt, frustrated, for any longer than you need to.

Resident Evil 4 Farm Blue Medallions locations

The first time you come across Blue Medallions in Resident Evil 4 is in the Farm area in Chapter 1 . You’re tasked with finding five throughout the small farmstead and they can be tricky to track down.

The first Blue Medallion is over the top of the fence on the right-hand side of the Farm.

The second is on the outside of the house with the saving typewriter inside.

The third is visible in the upper part of the barn and can be shot from both outside and inside.

The fourth is inside the low hut in the middle of the farm.

The final Blue Medallion is deceptively hidden, in the rafters of the pig shed at the top of the Farm.

Resident Evil 4 Quarry/Fish Farm Blue Medallions locations

The next quest appears in chapter 3, between the Quarry and Fish Farm.

Only one actually appears in the Quarry, with another between the locations and the remaining three in the Fish Farm.

The first Blue Medallion for this request is high above your head on some scaffolding as you leave the Quarry.

The second is underneath the dock you pass as you go between the Merchant and the Fish Farm.

The third is in the shack in the middle of the Fish Farm.

Then the fourth is visible through the hole in the wall on the left-hand side of the Fish Farm.

Finally, the fifth is found under the wooden walkway at the back of the Fish Farm. You need to wade into the water on your right to find it.

Resident Evil 4 Castle Gate Blue Medallions locations

Once you get to chapter 7 , you reach the Castle Gate. This is a hectic area but, although it doesn’t seem like it, you do get a chance to explore once all of the enemies are defeated.

However, you will want to crack these Blue Medallions before you enter the castle proper, because this isn’t somewhere you come back to once you leave.

This first one is very easy to miss, off the side of the path up towards the staircase at the start of the castle gate area.

Aim off the side of the map to hit it.

Next, this medallion is in the bottom corner of the area on the battlements, next to a large bag of resources.

You can then find two in the middle of the Castle Gate area.

The first is in the archway above the bombed out building.

The fourth is above your head in the same place.

Continue along the path and you reach the next medallion beside the treasure marker on the map, hidden in the corner.

You can then unlock the door behind you for easy access to the rest of the gate area.

Finally, the last one is in the circular building where you raise the cannon to destroy the catapults.

It’s also easy to miss, but you can hop back down into this room if you don’t pop it the first time you enter.

Resident Evil 4 Great Hall Blue Medallions locations

Recently soon after the last set, in chapter 9 you reach the Great Hall - these Blue Medallions just don’t let up.

But while you might think you’re getting to grips with this style of quest, the Great Hall tag on this mission is quite misleading. You’ll be venturing into a few different areas to claim your reward this time, so follow on!

The first one is up on your right in the entrance hall.

Next up, go to the end of the hall and walk past the incomplete statue.

Press yourself against the back wall and turn around, you should be able to see the second medallion on a pillar.

Now make your way up to the second floor landing and look into the middle of the Great Hall.

Next you need to start venturing out into the side rooms of the Great Hall to continue your search.

Now make your way towards the Armory and walk down the corridor, but don’t jump down yet.

The medallion is on your right, above a chair.

Finally, the last one is in the back corner of the Gallery.

It’s on the wall-facing side of the opulent pillar, not facing the rest of the room.

Resident Evil 4 Cargo Depot Blue Medallions locations

In chapter 14 , the Cargo Depot is a tough place to search because of all the wide, open space. Many of the Blue Medallions in this area are off the sides of the map in inaccessible areas, so make sure you have the ammo to spare!

The first is on your right as soon as you come out of the Merchant’s door.

You need to look up to shoot the next one, which is high above your head over the top of the Merchant’s door.

The next one is hidden behind some boxes in the top left-hand corner of the Cargo Depot.

Then nearby, there’s another on the side of some shipping containers in the opposite corner.

Finally, as you go up the stairs to the second level of the depot, look up and to your right. The last medallion is there, on the side of a tank off the side of the map.

Resident Evil 4 Cliffside Ruins Blue Medallions locations

As you time in Valdelobos looks to be drawing to a close in chapter 15 , there’s still time for a final set of Blue Medallions and it’s one of the trickiest yet!

The first medallion of this final set is off the side of the cliff to your right almost immediately after you regain control following the cut-scene.

Next, look inside the scaffolding on your left.

For the third, climb the ladder and look off into the distance at the top of the tower on your right.

With a scope you can see a deviously hidden blue medallion.

Now go back down the ladder and down the second ladder next to it, where the treasure marker is.

At the bottom of the ladder, look to your right - out over the cliff at the base of the stairs - to see the medallion.

Finally, climb back up the ladder and turn to about-face over the top of it. The last Blue Medallion is above the ladder, and should be visible if you get an angle by walking over to your left a bit.
