Sons of the Forest launched into Steam’s Early Access, boasting over two million sales in just 24 hours . It’s got a long way to go before it lives up to just how great The Forest is, but nevertheless, it’s good, cannibal-infused fun (as horrendous as that sounds).
In The Forest, with the use of console commands, you can turn the island into whatever you want it to be. Run at super speeds, spawn in useful items, or even have the trees you’ve spent so long cutting down regrow. However, here’s the situation with console commands in Sons of the Forest .

How to use console commands in Sons of the Forest
To play Sons of the Forest using console commands and cheats, you’ll want to enter a game, type in ‘cheatstick’ from where you stand, then open the debug menu using ‘F1’ while in-game .

This opens up the debug console, where you can then type in any console command you wish. To close the debug menu, simply press ‘F1’ again. Voila! Using console commands is as simple as that, but navigating the list of console commands and finding which ones are useful to you can be quite the task.

| additem [item id] | Will add a specific item to the player inventory. For example, ‘additem keycardvip’ will give you a VIP Keycard. |
| addcharacter [character id] | Will add another character to the game. For example, ‘addcharacter robby’ will give you another Kelvin to roam around with. |
| settimeofday | Will change the time of day. For example, ‘settimeofday 2’ will change the time to 2am while ‘settimeofday 14’ will change the time to 2pm. |
| godmode on/off | Enables God mode. |
| aigodmode on/off | Enables God mode for AI companions. |
| loghack | Will give you infinite logs to work with. |
| gotocoords [X, Y, Z] | Will spawn you at specific, chosen coordinates. Replace [X, Y, Z] with the coords of where you want to go. |
| treescutall on/off | Will cut down all of the trees surrounding the player. |
| showhud on/off | Toggles the HUD. |
| showui on/off | Toggles UI. |
| buffstats | Will buff your stats by refilling your hunger, thirst, and stamina, so you won’t starve to death. |
| superjump on/off | Will allow you to do some incredible jumps. |
| speedyrun on/off | Will allow you to go super fast. Just be careful to not die in the process. |
| cavelight on/off | Will illuminate caves when turned on. |
| season [season] | Will change the season you’re playing in. For example, ‘season summer’ will change the season to summer. |
| aighostplayer on/off | Toggles player invisibility, meaning enemies won’t be alerted to you when toggled on. |
| killradius [number] | Will kill everything within a set radius. For example, ‘killradius 10’ will kill everything within 10 meters. |
