This tier list of every currently available race in The Forge lists all of the stats, strengths and weaknesses of each race so you can make the tough decision of where to spend your limited rerolls.

In the far-flung worlds of The Forge in Roblox, you can take on the role of a diverse range of fantasy races from willowy elves to stout dwarves and even heavenly angels.

Each race in The Forge functions like a class in other games. They have unique strengths and weaknesses, including stat bonuses and beneficial passive effects, but also debuffs based on the different characteristics of each race.

For example, Goblins are known for their mercantile skill and bartering prowess, which allows them to get a whopping 12% discount on everything they buy (which can really add up when you’re purchasing some of the best pickaxes in the game for hundreds of thousands of gold).

However, their small stature makes them vulnerable to getting squished by bigger enemies, with a blanket -15% to their maximum health total.

This means that some of The Forge’s races are better suited to exploration, collecting and mining, while others are more focussed on combat, questing and defeating boss monsters.

If you’re in need of extra rerolls to spin for your choice of race, be sure to our up-to-date page on The Forge codes .

Why are the best Races in The Forge the best?

Like most Roblox games, the best races in The Forge are also the rarest and hardest to get. In S-tier both the Angel and Demon have, fittingly, godly special abilities and basically no tradeoffs for receiving them.

The Demon is the best combat race in The Forge, since it stacks multiple damaging abilities on top of an already boosted regular swing. Blanket buffs to movement and attack speed are just icing on the demonic cake.

Angels on the other hand are the best exploration race in The Forge. This is because of their incredible base luck boost of +30% and +20% increase to movement speed allowing them both the mobility to reach the most difficult spots with ease and the ability to find what you’re looking for once you get there. Their ability to smite enemies in battle for a damage boost means they’re no pushover too, making the Angel a versatile and powerful addition to your arsenal.

In A-tier, the Dragonborn, Golem and Minotaur have the strongest combat upsides with relatively few drawbacks. To give them more typical RPG roles, the Golem is the tank, the Minotaur is the DPS and the Dragonborn is a mixture of the two.

The Dragonborn is just a brilliant all-round race with powerful attacks, boosts health and a chance to deal damage over time via burning. Again, there’s no downside, but it’s only the fact that you get strictly better buffs from the Angel and Demon which keep this from S-tier.

Next, the Golem trades off -10% movement speed for increased attack speed with heavy weapons, +30% health and a chance to reduce incoming damage. This combination makes them not just the ultimate survivalists, but pack a heavy punch themselves.

Finally, the Minotaur is similar to the other two, but has a passive which massively buffs their damage output under 50% health. If you can keep yourself at this sweet spot it’s a massive upside, however, it does require more active play than other races.

In B-tier, I’ve included the Goblin because, despite its obvious combat downsides, the 12% discount on everything you buy and movement speed boost make it one of the best races for early-game progression and exploration when you factor in its accessibility. This is a great race to keep in one of your extra slots for when you want to make a big purchase.

Really, for a game that involves so much mining and smithing, you’d expect dwarves to be top tier. However, they’re more situational than you’d like, with just a chance to deal a lot of extra damage to rocks and smaller boost for forging better items. If it was a bigger blanket boost like the combat classes, then we’d be talking about higher tiers - a luck boost would be nice too to turn Dwarf into a true mining race.

Shadow on the other hand is like a rogue class. They do decent damage and can dodge attacks, but have lower health than most of the stronger races. This means they’re just a bit less impactful and therefore B-tier.

It’s a similar story for the Orc. It has decent blanket buffs, but no interesting passives which make it a must-try race.

In C-tier, the Elf is just a bit mid. The luck boost is good in the early game, but gets outclassed by others as you progress and the lack of a combat buff is noticeable. Then the Undead race has significant downsides which aren’t offset by its relatively meagre upsides which are, again, strictly outclassed by the higher rarity races.

Finally, I’ve placed both the bog-standard default Human and Zombie at the bottom in D-tier. While it has no real downside, the fact that the Human has no real upside either means it’s strictly outclassed by every other option. While the Zombie’s massive reduction in max health is simply too big of a handicap to entertain, and it’s just worse than the Undead - which isn’t even that great itself.
