Update 16/07: We’ve expanded our walkthrough to include the final Week 4 quests!
Like previous log-in events for The Sims 4 , Nature’s Calling exists to kick off the game’s latest content season. For Summer 2025, the overarching theme is getting back to nature and appreciating the great outdoors, with a healthy dose of fairytale magic thrown in for those of us who enjoy more fantastical elements mixed in with our life simulation.
Nature’s Calling is, of course, also intended to tie in to the next expansion pack release, Enchanted by Nature, which is due to launch in early July. Helmed by the new event NPC Dahlia Fern — an incredibly cute green-skinned lady I’m already obsessed with – Nature’s Calling will grant rewards regardless of whether you intend to invest in the new EP, but will feature some activities designed to whet your whistle for the new pack’s themes.
What is the Nature’s Calling event in The Sims 4?
Nature’s Calling is a limited-time event in The Sims 4, running from June 24th to August 5th, 2025 . There have been several similar events run intermittently over the past year, but Nature’s Calling is the first to contain a blend of log-in rewards – which you can claim just as long as you play the game at some point during that six-week period – and rewards that require you to engage with a series of limited-time quests.
The event will begin immediately upon loading The Sims 4 for the first time while it is active, and will last for six weeks. During this period it can be accessed any time by clicking the event widget (plumbob symbol) that appears in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
Nature’s Calling content, including quests and associated rewards, will unlock for the first four Tuesdays of the event. It will then run for an additional three weeks once everything has become available, giving players time to finish all the quests and claim all the rewards. (All previously unlocked quests will be available to complete up until the event ends on August 5th, so there’s no need to worry about starting late.)
Rewards of common in-game items like books and potions will be delivered to the inventory of whichever Sim is your active character when you claim them, as will the new Touch Grass Weekly magazine collectible . Conversely, rewards that grant new Build/Buy items and other event-exclusive goodies will be unlocked for all saves in your game going forward.

The Sims 4 Nature’s Calling quests and task lists
Quest tasks in Nature’s Calling are sequentially unlocked, although there are a few quest chains that run simultaneously within each quest. However, since you’ll only ever be playing one quest at a time, it’s not too overwhelming.
You largely don’t have to complete the task chains in the order that they appear listed on-screen, and can instead tackle them in whatever order suits you best. The only exception that’s worth bearing in mind is that optional quest chains must be completed before the final mandatory task in each overarching quest, otherwise you’ll complete the whole quest and move on without getting to experience the optional chains (and their rewards).

Whispers on the Wind (Week 1, Quest 1)
This quest consists of two simultaneous task chains (three if you have the Lovestruck EP installed):

- Visit any park.
- Optional: Purchase a romantic blanket on a home lot. (Requires the Lovestruck expansion pack.)
Attuned to the Echoes (Week 1, Quest 2)
This quest unlocks after you complete Whispers on the Wind, and consists of three simultaneous task chains:
- Ask one other Sim if they hear the whispers too.
- Buy the Reclaimed Woodworking table on a home lot.
- Cloudgaze (during the daytime) or Stargaze (at night) .

- Visit Desert Bloom Park in Oasis Springs.
- Catch two frogs. (Unsuccessfully searching for frogs also fulfils this task.)

This quest now unlocks after you complete Secret Sands, and consists of three simultaneous task chains:
- Build the Reclaimed Wood Dining Table.
- Buy a grill.
- Sleep with the Nature Soundscapes radio station playing in the same room. (Requires you to sleep in a bed, as napping will not fulfil the task.)

The penultimate quest in the Nature’s Calling event requires you to raise a Sim’s Handiness Skill to Level 10 and successfully explore the Forgotten Grotto, one of the secret lots in the base game. |Image credit:VG247 / EA / Maxis
Echoes from the Cave (Week 4, Quest 1)
This quest now unlocks after you complete Symphony of Serenity, and consists of three simultaneous task chains:
- Craft the Wooden Throne. (Despite appearing at the top of the task list, you’ll need to complete another task first in order to earn enough Event Points to unlock the Wooden Throne DIY recipe.)
- Have a Sim spend time outdoors. (Takes approx. two to three in-game hours, you’ll see a timer on the moodlet that all Sims have at the start of the quest.)
- Return to Desert Bloom Park.
The search for the Forgotten Grotto takes the form of a choose-your-own-adventure text-based story in which you must get all four answers correct in one run. The correct sequence of answers to discover the Forgotten Grotto are as follows: Take wide path Climb ladder Step onto ledge Travel to Grotto
Plants Can Whisper? (Week 4, Quest 2)
This quest now unlocks after you complete Echoes from the Cave, and consists of two simultaneous task chains:
- Purchase a Magic PlantSim Stump on a home lot.
- Ask two Sims about PlantSims.
Nature’s Calling item list
Completing tasks and quests as part of the Nature’s Calling event garners Event Points that unlock rewards. Rewards can be unlocked as soon as the EP requirement for them has been reached, so there’s no need to “spend” points to get rewards; it’s all cumulative, and you can just claim everything that you’ve unlocked from the event page.
Here are all 31 rewards that are up for grabs in the Nature’s Calling event, with the 16 event-exclusive unlocks denoted in bold:

Do I need to buy Sims 4 DLC to complete Nature’s Calling quests?
EA have confirmed that owners of the following expansion packs will have extra optional quests to complete during the Nature’s Calling event:
- Cats & Dogs
- Snowy Escape
- Horse Ranch
- Lovestruck
However, you do not need these expansion packs to complete the Nature’s Calling event ; these are optional side-quests – which, additionally, must be completed before the main quest they unlock alongside.
Completing the optional quests will award extra Event Points, effectively meaning that people who own all of the related expansion packs will have an overflow of points at the end of the event. It’s a fun extra that lets you unlock a few rewards a little bit earlier and possibly grants some extra consumables, but players who only have access to the base game will still be able to earn all of the event rewards as long as they play every main quest.
