Heartopia features a number of NPC vendors, some of whom never stray far from their established business premises, and some who have a little more freedom to roam about the map. Even among them, however, Doris stands out: it can be difficult to predict when, where, or even if she’ll turn up on any given day.
Doris is the proprietor of a couple of different pop-up “stands”, depending on the current weather conditions, and her location changes accordingly. Read on below for information on how to track down Doris’ location in Heartopia .
Heartopia: Doris location
Doris only appears in Heartopia under the following weather conditions: active rain/snow, rainbow, and meteor shower . In other words, there’s no point looking for her on a clear sunny day, or even a day when there’s snow on the ground but none in the air, since she simply won’t be there.
Her spawn locations vary based on the exact weather of the day, and her appearance also varies slightly on different occasions. However, she’s always recognisable thanks to her bob haircut, accompanied (at least in winter) by a woolly pom-pom hat, even though her colourway changes between appearances.
To know whether Doris is going to be around, you can of course check the current in-game weather conditions to determine whether she’s currently on the island, as well as looking at the weather forecast on the watch menu to see whether she’ll be around later on.

Where to find Doris in Heartopia: rain/snow locations
Bearing in mind that Heartopia doesn’t really differentiate between rain and snowfall for things like fish and bug spawns, you may be unsurprised to learn that Doris similarly treats the two weather conditions as functionally identical.
If it’s damp out, Doris will set up her stall somewhere on Art Street in the central part of town . Her exact location varies, but she seems to have a preference for archways and bridges (which makes sense, as it’d give her somewhere to shelter from the elements), as well as the main market stall stretch of Art Street.
On rainy and snowy days, Doris’ stock will include her regular items ( roll cake recipe , rainbow sugar in one or two random colours, and various postcards) as well as weather-exclusive umbrellas. She’ll accept payment in Gold or Wish Stars, depending on the item.
Where to find Doris in Heartopia: rainbow locations
When there’s a rainbow in Heartopia’s skies, Doris tends to set up her stall somewhere near its base. Find the end of the rainbow and Doris will likely be somewhere in its vicinity , although she does seem to have something of a loose interpretation of where the rainbow actually ends, so you might need to look around for her a bit.
If all else fails, she seems to have a preference for the base of Onsen Mountain and clearings in the Forest – although this might just be because those are comparatively clear areas of the map, and thus somewhere that’s likely to register as the rainbow’s “base”.
On rainbow days, Doris’ stock will include her regular items (roll cake recipe, rainbow sugar in one or two random colours, and various postcards) as well as the weather-exclusive Rainbow emote . She’ll accept payment in Gold or Wish Stars, depending on the item.
Where to find Doris in Heartopia: meteor shower locations
During meteor showers – which only occur between 6pm-12am server time – Doris will typically appear near to the impact locations where meteors are landing, so she’ll be somewhere around the top of Onsen Mountain.
On meteor shower nights, Doris’ stock can only be purchased using Starfall Shards, and doesn’t include her regular daytime items. Instead, she stocks the weather-exclusive Wish Upon Shooting Stars emote (sometimes alternatively called the Pray emote) as well as a variety of star-themed special furniture pieces and event items.
