To craft High Rank armor in Monster Hunter Wilds , you’re going to need some rare materials and lots of them. One of these, which is necessary for an abundance of weapons and the Damascus armor set, is Fucium Ore .

This fancy metal can only be found in the Ruins of Wyveria, which isn’t exactly rampant with the stuff, but once you know where to farm for the ore, you’ll be able to get enough of it to craft that highly anticipated weapon or piece of armor in no time. Fucium Ore is a relatively rare material in Monster Hunter Wilds, and when you aren’t receiving it as a quest reward, your best bet for finding it is from Mining Nodes in Wyveria .

Mining Nodes appear as small, blue icons on your map. To make finding them easier, open up your map of Wyveria and select ‘Filter Icons’ in the lower left-hand corner. Select the ‘Gathering’ category, and then hover over ‘Mining Outcrops’.

You will then be able to scour through all Mining Outcrops in the area, set a Waypoint to one of them, and have your Seikret charge over there so you can begin mining. This is the most efficient way of gathering materials from Mining Nodes, which Wyveria unfortunately doesn’t have an abundance of.

That said, if you use your Seikret to take you between each Mining Node in Wyveria, you should be able to gather some Fucium Ore by doing this, but you may need to repeat the process. In my experience, I only got a single Fucium Ore in one run of all of Wyveria’s Mining Nodes.

Mining Nodes have a 15 minute cooldown in Monster Hunter Wilds, but you can rest at a Pop-Up Camp using Guild Points to pass time quicker and get back to farming sooner. Failing that, go beat up one of Wilds’ Large Monsters . By the time you’re done, Wyveria’s Mining Outcrops will likely be available again.
